It all begins with Science Inquiry
The Amazzzzing Egg Drop! (SLIDESHOW)
In accordance with our force and motion unit in science and Easter the students participated in an AMAZING Egg Drop last week. The students were paired up with another student in the class and asked to bring materials from home to build something that will protect an egg from cracking/exploding while it is dropped from the bleachers on the playground. If their "egg shelter" passed that test then our custodian took it on top of the school roof for the ultimate EGG DROP!
All the students did an amazing job on the project. I am very impressed with their teamwork and creativity.
Force... Motion... Speed... Oh My!
Matter Experiment: their faces say it all!
The third graders molded with clay the life cycle of a frog while learning Chapter 2: Animals. They worked very hard making each stage of the frog look realistic!
Plants and Seeds
Third graders planted their own seed in a CD case which resembled their habitat. We have been watering them and watching the plants everyday hoping they germinate soon!
